Trinity's Leaders

"My way toward the truth is to ask the right questions," said Socrates. Jesus answered him saying, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

today I sat around my house for a total of 4 hours doing nothing of value. then i ate dinner. then i did nothing further of value until about 9:30. I got home at 3:30. In the midst of my mom's ceaseless questioning of my homework status, I very clearly stated to her that most of the reason I don't do my work is to irritate her. In fact, most of the things I do at all these days is just to irritate someone in my family. Now, I fully realize this is a problem and this is not just a confessional wall, but I am just curious what you guys think. I have been in this "rebellious" state now for about a month. Most obviously, I'm not making babies on the weekends or anything horrible like that, but I think that being obstinate and difficult is just as bad. And what is worse is that I KNOW that I'm doing it, yet I continue in it.
I don't really know where to go with this except just to ask if anyone else faces this, and how do you deal with it.
I know I'm called to live and work as unto the Lord, but how do I do that when I just don't feel like it?

It's called Senioritis. I've had it for a while. Actually I had junioritis. The point of this well known term is that this is just what happens when you get to a certain point in your life. Everybody's talking to you about college and moving out and what you're going to do with your life. Then you start getting fractious because you realize you're ready to leave home. Somebody I forget who said that God prepares us for changes in our lives by changing our hearts and opening us to dissatisfaction. How nerdy would it be if you had to go to college next year and you weren't ready cause you couldn't live without your mommy? It's a good thing...up to a point...
